Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

Dagverk is committed to ensuring our platform is accessible to people with disabilities. We strive to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard widely adopted in U.S. accessibility law (including ADA Title III).

Conformance status

Dagverk is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We have completed initial accessibility improvements covering semantic HTML structure, keyboard navigation, screen reader support for forms and dynamic content, and skip-to-content navigation. A formal third-party audit is planned as the product matures.

Measures taken

  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, aside, footer)
  • "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users
  • ARIA labels on icon-only controls (notifications, navigation)
  • Form fields with associated labels, error messages, and validation cues
  • Live regions for dynamic content (AI generation status, notifications)
  • Sufficient color contrast in light and dark themes (WCAG AA)
  • Page language declared (lang="en")

Known limitations

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

  • Some dropdown menus use a non-standard interaction pattern that may not announce state changes consistently across all screen readers
  • Complex data tables (regulation change history) have not yet been audited for full screen reader compatibility
  • PDF documents linked from regulation sources are produced by third-party government agencies and may not meet accessibility standards

Compatibility

Dagverk is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of major screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • Operating system accessibility features (high contrast mode, screen magnification, voice control)

Dagverk is not designed to be compatible with browsers more than three major versions old.

If you encounter accessibility barriers while using Dagverk, please let us know. We take all feedback seriously and aim to respond within 5 business days.
